Unemployment compensation is up to 80% from the average monthly salary for the first 200 days from the unemployment period, noting that there is a maximum compensation amount per day. For the following 100 days, the compensation is up to 70% of your average monthly salary, with a maximum compensation amount per day as well. The total number of compensation days is 300 in normal cases, but in case of there is a child under 18, the number of compensation days will be 450. Unemployment compensation amount is calculated on weekly basis according to the number of working days per week. Note: Due to Covid-19 pandemic, a new temporary law was approved, in which the compensation ceiling per day is upgraded for various segments. Unemployment compensation is calculated based on your average monthly income earned for the last 12 months before losing your job. In other word, the total salaries of one year will be divided by 12. In addition to work condition to be intitled to A-kassa compensation, there are also other conditions that must be met to receive full compensation, such as A kassa membership for a period of one year. There is risk to receive less compensation if you did not meet all required conditions.
